Amy Crabbe has provided more than 30 years of leadership in non-profit organizations with most of her early career spent as a Human Resources professional. Before joining the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge she served as the Chief Operating Officer at Appalachian Regional Healthcare System in Boone, NC. Amy received a BSBA in Health Care Management from Appalachian State University, and MBA from UNC Greensboro Bryan School of Business. She has taught Human Resources Management coursework for undergraduates at Appalachian State University and continues to maintain a part-time HR consulting business assisting small businesses with HR strategic direction.
Following successful navigation of the health system through the COVID pandemic, Amy was named Boone Area Chamber of Commerce Baker Woman of the Year for 2022. Having a heart for non-profit organizations and a passion for women’s issues, Amy joined WFBR in October 2023 to make an impact on the community she loves.
Amy has been married to Charles for 34 years with one adult son, Sam. She & Charles love renovating old homes and she obtained her General Contractor’s license to do so in her spare time. Amy is also committed to serving in several other capacities around the community as a leader on teams at Boone United Methodist Church, Treasurer of the Watauga Housing board, and member of the Economic Development Foundation board of the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce.
