Dear Women’s Fund Donor,
As we settle into the New Year, the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge is busy organizing opportunities for YOU to make a difference in our community. We are talking to nonprofit leaders, identifying the most critical needs, and strategizing on ways to meet them. When our donors come together, we makeOUR community stronger!
The WFBR recognizes that giving is defined differently by each of our donors. We are honored to have donors who give financially, volunteer their time, and or share their talents by serving on our board or a committee. In 2018, the WFBR is committed to providing a variety of opportunities for each of YOU,OUR donors, to GIVE.
Please stay connected to the WFBR by visiting our website. There you will be able to view a live calendar of upcoming events and meetings. As always, thank you, for your contribution to the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge.
The WFBR is looking for 2018 Corporate Sponsors. Did you know that the WFBR is one of the largest collective giving organizations in the High Country? By becoming a Corporate Sponsor your business name is made visible to hundreds of donors. Please contact our office @ 828-264-4006 to become a 2018 WFBR Corporate Sponsor.
WFBR Buckets are GROWING
The cost of deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner can pile up over time. Many individuals living in the High Country are forced to choose between food or hygiene products. For many years, the WFBR has provided recycled Kilwin’s ice cream buckets filled with cleaning and hygiene supplies to people living in poverty.
The WFBR is happy to expand our reach. In 2018, we will begin providing buckets to the Ashe Sharing Center in Ashe County, and to Reaching Avery Ministry (RAM) in Avery County.
Please support the expansion of this project by making a monetary contribution to our buckets campaign, by clicking here.
Host A Friendraiser
Friends are the backbone of many positive things in our lives. One of the most effective ways for the WFBR to increase our friend circle is through the gathering of small groups of friends. These gatherings are referred to as Friendraisers. The WFBR is currently seeking hosts for Friendraisers. As a host, you provide a comfortable environment where a board member or staff person can speak to a group of your friends about the WFBR. If you are interested in having someone talk to a group of your friends please contact, Danielle Thuot at the WFBR office: 828-264-4002.
